Full membership

No joining fee for in-zone businesses

Full members can be tenants and property owners within the BID zone, we encourage and welcome new members.

North West Country Incorporated is funded through a BID Targeted Rate Grant (not levy or separate rate) from properties in the Business Improvement District (BID) Zone, this covers the business zones in Kaukapakapa, Helensville, Parakai, Waimauku, Huapai, Kumeu and Riverhead.

Auckland Council applies the North West Country Incorporated BID targeted rate which is collected from the ratepayer/property owner or indirectly by the business owner/tenant located within the North West Country Inc. BID boundary area. Any business within the BID are automatically qualifies for a full membership.

Joining is easy, there are no joining fees for eligible members. If you are in the BID area you are eligible for a full membership. Simply register your membership interest with us and come on board to start enjoying membership benefits. For more information about membership benefits, download our pack here.

Associate membership

$400 +GST per year

We welcome associate members who do not have a business within our commercially-rated areas (ie at-home businesses). Associate members receive all the benefits of a full membership without the rights to vote at an AGM. To sign up please complete the application form online.

Once we receive this we will send you a welcome pack and invoice.

Our general activities include sponsorship of local events such as arts festivals, Christmas parades, and other events, we run buy local campaigns, and business promotions throughout the year.

Benefits include:

  • Participate and exhibit at any NWC events or festivals
  • Online Business Directory & Website Listing.
  • Active promotion of members to the public through ‘Buy Locally’ and other campaigns.
  • Access to members’ information & news portal.
  • Regular communications on events and activities in the district.
  • Participate in promotional advertising and NWC Business Promotional program.
  • Participate in biennial Business Awards.
  • Advocacy on behalf of businesses to Council and Government.

Partner membership

$200 +GST per year

We welcome partner members. Partner membership is an option for businesses outside our targeted rate area who would like to join to access our services. Partner members will receive all the benefits of an Associate Member. Partner members will be required to co-brand their business with our logo to demonstrate that they are a proud member of the north west country business area. Logos must appear at least on the website and email signatures.
