Mike Bell’s passion for automotive repairs came from hours spent helping out his dad in the garage as a child. After failing miserably at School C, it soon became apparent academics were not for him, so he pursued a career in the Automotive Industry.
After completing his apprenticeship at a highly reputable workshop in Auckland City, Mike graduated in Automotive Engineering in 2005.
Mike worked at various workshops around Auckland, before deciding to go out on his own as Bell Mechanical, the demand for his services rapidly increased so when the opportunity to purchase Manuka Automotive in November 2017 arose he did not hesitate. Having been raised in Taupaki Mike is happy to be able to provide a local friendly service for the community.
Being passionate about all things Motorsport, Mike has been part of Rally Service Crews and 4 Wheel Drive Teams. Not just about the motors, he also has a great passion for Mountain Biking with his dogs, hunting and anything that gets him outdoors!
