Helensville Railway Museum

Helensville Railway Museum

The railway station building (which dates back to 1881), houses tenants compromising a Café, Jewellery, Antiques stores, Art Gallery and alongside you will find a new building that houses the model of the Station and also our historical collection of railway artifacts and information.

The Trust has been gifted a large working railway model which has been constructed by Mr. Ross Hughes of Auckland. This model depicts the railway station and its environs including many heritage buildings as they were in the 1950s and 1960s and as such is a true and accurate replica of this historic era. All items of this model have been constructed by hand by Mr. Hughes over many years and it is his wish that it be made available for public display.
